Welcome to Marin BMW Motorcycles. In May 2001 we went through an ownership change and a transition to an exclusive BMW retail center. Formerly known as BMW & Ducati of Marin, this BMW dealership has been in continuous operation in San Rafael since 1972.

In Spring 2001, Cary Littell acquired the Marin County dealership, changing the name to Marin BMW Motorcycles, to exhibit the new focus on the BMW line. Cary is an established motorcycling enthusiast, been riding since childhood, and has become a household name with those that own BMW's R1100RT model. With his enthusiasm towards his own RT, Cary started a web site community shortly after his own purchase in 1997. What started as "Cary's RT Source Pages" has evolved into the "BMWRT.COM" community, with many dedicated members that contribute to educating other BMW owners on the many facets of owning and riding motorcycles.
